Equiti has increased the medical interpreter training requirements for Voyce and Martti to 120 hours – triple the industry standard.
Equiti, the parent company of Martti and Voyce, is setting a new standard for healthcare language access by increasing its minimum training requirement for all Equiti interpreters from 60 to 120 hours – double the previous requirement and triple the industry standard.
This increase underscores Equiti’s commitment to delivering the highest quality interpretation services to healthcare providers and patients with limited English proficiency (LEP).
Equiti’s enhanced training initiative ensures that its interpreters are better equipped than ever to support patients and providers across North America. The new 120-hour program, which includes expanded classroom instruction and hands-on coaching, sets a gold standard in healthcare interpretation — aligning with industry best practices and reinforcing patient safety, accuracy, and cultural sensitivity.
This initiative is one of several service enhancements made possible by the integration of Voyce and Martti under Equiti, which brings together two of healthcare’s largest and most innovative language access providers with expanded resources and capabilities.

In addition to 120 hours of training prior to onboarding, Equiti interpreters also complete annual continuing education requirements covering medical terminology, compliance, and ethics.
